A brilliant quote. I am naturally quiet and reserved person. I could never speak up for myself without crying. If I had to do a speech in front of the class I would go into a sort of state of shock for days and when the day came I would shake and stutter.
Over the years as I grew up I began to realise I would have to overcome this fear. People think now that I am full of confidence. They don't realise that that stuttering frightened person still exists underneath the confident person that strides into the interview room or into work in the morning or in front of the crowd that has congregated in the park to watch us belydance.
Keep exercising the habit of willpower and it becomes second nature.
Now I need to apply it to my fear of hunger so I can lose weight Yes I am a 13 stone and have overcome fear and doubt to dance in front of an audience - what a difference to the shaking youth - all through willpower! Anyone can do it.
